It's been a full decade since I first met Daniel Rönnbäck. I had just moved to Åre to pursue a career as the editor for Swedish ski magazine Åka Skidor.
Daniel was a snotty teenager in town for a few months to ride mountain bikes, tail coating on a few older mutual friends. Standing six feet tall, with blonde, shoulder-length locks and sporting trendy facial hair, these days he looks equally at home in swanky nightclubs as he does in the mountains-fitting, as he now also shoots fashion photography and parties with supermodels in Stockholm. But back then, despite being by far the best rider of the bunch, he suffered constant heckling from his roommates, earning the nickname "Junior" due to his age...
