Bring It In

Layla Kerley
Layla Kerley spends her winters “standing in awkward places to take pictures of humans defying gravity.” Born in the U.K. but raised in Chamonix, France, from the age of 5, Layla is known for her huge backpack, messy ginger hair and Dad jokes (the French just think she’s rude). Despite degrees in contemporary art and graphic design, she never dreamt of becoming a photographer—but it’s hard to leave Chamonix when you’ve grown up in its ski bum heyday. So today, she chases snowstorms and documents the colorful fauna of ski culture through her lens. If she’s not skiing, she’s probably riding fast horses in a far-flung corner of the earth. Find her on Instagram @laylakerley.

Erin Spong
Born and raised an alpine ski racer in the modest hills of Bloomington, MN, Erin Spong fell in love with skiing and the mountains long before she found the creative pursuit of writing. After graduating with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri, Erin moved to Denver, CO, to work as an assistant editor at Freeskier Magazine. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Erin redesigned her career as a freelance writer and professional skier based out of southeast Idaho.

Ian Fohrman
Ian Fohrman lives to move, create and connect. Oregon-grown and Golden, CO-based, he writes, directs and shoots stories that nudge people to think deeper, from the ice of Antarctica to the cover of The Wall Street Journal. He’s skied six continents, made questionable decisions on all seven, and pedaled every rideable Colorado 14er. Between diaper changes and daycare drop-offs, he sneaks bike laps on his backyard trails or dawn patrol ski tours. Come fall, Ian swaps his keyboard and cameras for broadheads to vanish into elk country. Follow Ian’s musings and misadventures at ianfohrman.substack.com.

Jessy Braidwood
Jessy Braidwood was raised in Whistler, BC, in a cabin her grandparents built. Life there meant ski boots in the winter, ample time on a boat in the summer and mountain biking in the fall. Not much has changed, except now she does those things with a camera in hand. Jessy loves to capture quirky humans on windy peaks or rugged coastlines, and spends all her free time with her pup, Levi. Find her work at jessybraidwood.com.
