Nikolai Schirmer, Lucas Wachs and Sam Favret chase powder in the deep corners of the Caucasus ranges of Georgia, forging deep connections with people and place.
"There's no saying no to chacha in Georgia," Nikolai Schirmer whispers in "Chacha Land," his latest 25-minute film.
Schirmer, Lucas Wachs and Sam Favret chase powder in the deep corners of the Caucasus ranges of Georgia, trying not to overindulge in the traditional grape brandy, a symbol of the openhearted Georgian hospitality they receive everywhere they go.
The goal is scoring deep turns in a new range, and along the way they forge meaningful connections with the locals while staying at the Rider's Lodge in Bakhmaro then in Mestia. From bottomless turns to navigating big avalanche-prone terrain, the crew dives into a new country headfirst. Top notch skiing and epic terrain are an added bonus.
